County of Worcester Archery Association

The function of the the County of Worcester Coaching Officer (CCO) is to assist in facilitating coaching in and around the County, which falls into three broad categories:

To arrange the training of coaches. This is achieved by laying on periodic coach training courses for Level 1, 2 & County Coaches.

To arrange, facilitate and assist in the training & development if the County's coaches. This is achieved by

  • Arranging sessions where the coaches can develop their talents & earn CPD.
  • Supporting & mentoring individual Coaches as required.

To arrange, facilitate and assist in the coaching of the County's archers. This is achieved by

  • Laying on coaching sessions for archers, providing skills & expertise not available in their clubs.
  • Arranging specialist sessions for County archers.
  • Helping & advising clubs on their coaching strategy & needs.

Events that require booking

To work with the Team Manager on Squad development.

 

To liaise with other relevant bodies (e.g. Region & ArcheryGB), and act as a conduit for information flowing up & down the archery structure. This is mostly done via regular attendance at County Committee meetings.
